Job summary

Banner Casa Grande Medical Center is seeking a Patient Transporter for the day shift. You will support nurses by moving patients and transporting specimens and equipment throughout the facility, using wheelchairs and stretchers as needed.

The role requires a valid BLS certification, strong customer service, and basic computer skills. Weekend rotations and holiday availability are required; a 18% night differential may apply when working nights.

Qualifications

BLS certification required.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Basic computer skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for auto insurance coverage.
Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at hire and maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

Transports patients safely between departments following transfer techniques.
Assists with patient handling and safety equipment use.
Provides distribution services of items and equipment between departments.
Responds to job calls promptly and updates the system with status information.
Collects, cleans and disinfects patient care equipment and other reusable items.
May restock supplies or perform light clerical duties as needed.
Operates golf cart to provide distribution services if required.
May transport deceased persons to the facility morgue.
