Indiana University Health is seeking a Patient Transporter for the IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. The position is full-time, day shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm, with every other weekend and holiday work required. Shift pay differentials apply and safety protocols must be followed.
Responsibilities include moving patients by bed, stretcher, or wheelchair, monitoring patient status, and coordinating with nursing staff to ensure timely transfers within the healthcare facility.

Position Summary:
The Patient Transporter plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients. Patient Transporters are responsible for transporting patients to and from points of service, including admissions, discharges, ancillary areas, and other service locations within the healthcare facility.
Duties include safe handling of patients and equipment during transport. Patients may be transported via bed, stretcher, or wheelchair. Monitoring and reporting any changes in a patient's condition during transportation. Collaborating with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient transfers. Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines, including infection control policies. Ensuring timely transport of patients to minimize delays in care.
