Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital in Florida is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed to and from departments, delivering a compassionate, efficient, and safe patient experience. This role requires strong communication, the ability to assist with transfers, mechanical readiness of equipment, and adherence to safety protocols.

Preferred candidates have BLS certification, at least one year of related experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness

Qualifications

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• At least 1 year of related experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing, bending, and pushing.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and medical staff.
• PRN, days, or weekends availability may be required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
