Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Transporter to safely move patients and materials between units, using the correct equipment and adherence to safety policies.

The role includes delivering specimens and care items, supporting visitors, and ensuring accurate handoffs during transfers. A High School diploma and basic computer skills are required, with BLS CPR certification preferred and at least 6 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• American Heart Association BLS- CPR certification is required.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months patient care and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients between units and to/ from ancillary departments using appropriate equipment.
• Perform patient transports and transfers while following safe patient handling policies.
• Pickup and deliver specimens and patient care items; assist visitors as needed.
