Responsibilities

• Ensures patient safety by checking armband, chart, seatbelts, and guarding rails during transport.
• Assists patients transferring from bed to wheelchair or stretcher and documents completion.
• Signs patient on and off nursing units during transport; participates in Quality Improvement Plan.

They will provide other assigned procedures under the supervision of the department management and licensed personnel while maintaining productivity standards and occupational growth. This position is under the direction of the Manager and Supervisor of Patient Transportation, the Transport Tech is responsible for, but not limited to, the transports of inpatients and outpatients between hospital departments. The employee will be involved in direct and indirect patient care, including patient transfers, patient lifts, and other tasks that promote quality patient satisfaction.
