Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Aurora, CO, is seeking a dedicated Patient Transporter for the PACU AIP. This onsite role supports patient, specimen, and equipment movement across the facility.

The position is full-time (80 hours per pay period) with day shifts; pay ranges $18.54–$24.10 per hour and require BLS/CPR within 90 days. No education required; CNA preferred. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Deliver equipment and specimens to requesting staff or department. Assist staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue.
  • Greet and provide information and direction to patients and visitors.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Work Schedule:Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Pay:$18.54 - $24.10 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:

Transports patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility.

Requirements:

  • Education: None required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider or Heartsaver CPR within 90 days of hire. Preferred: CNA.
  • Minimum Experience: None required.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
