Overview

Parkwood Behavioral Health System (a UHS facility) provides behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid-South region. We are located in Desoto County, in the northwest corner of Mississippi, approximately 7 miles south of Memphis. Parkwood offers a full continuum of care for adults, adolescents and children, including a 148-bed inpatient acute and residential care facility, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Responsibilities

Patient Transportation/Driver - PRN (AS NEEDED)

The Patient Transportation Driver provides transportation of patients to and from outpatient treatment daily in a safe and professional manner. This position also transports patients to medical and necessary appointments as needed. Responsibilities include effective communication with the dispatcher and managing pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles. Must understand and be able to operate GPS devices and cell phones. Perform all duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Education: Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of driving experience. Prefer driving experience in a school, hospital, or hospitality setting.

Licensure/Certification: Valid Mississippi or Tennessee driver’s license with F Endorsement or Commercial Driver License

Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of Mississippi/Tennessee Traffic Safety Laws
