Patient Transport - TriPoint Medical Center - (250004T1)

Hours
  • Part Time
  • Day Shift
  • Working every other weekend and holiday required
What You Will Do
  • Provide safe and efficient transport of patients, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform transport duties as needed and assist in training new hires.
  • Communicate with other departments to assess their transport needs.
  • Interact with patients and customers to meet their needs.
  • Orient to the hospital's physical layout and locations of testing areas.
  • Perform data entry and receive dispatch information via Tele-Tracking System.
  • Use proper body mechanics for lifting and moving patients.
  • Understand and apply the Patient Identification and Alert Process.
  • Pass fit testing for N95 masks.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Refer to departmental documentation during orientation for specific duties.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI), including annual training and adherence to UH policies and the UH Code of Conduct.
Education
  • High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
Work Experience
  • Less than 1 year of basic patient care experience (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge and handling of transport equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, oxygen) (Preferred proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (Preferred)
