Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a Patient Transportation Technician at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, OH to transport patients to and from nursing units, procedure areas, labs, and therapy, while supporting patient comfort and safety and assisting with the transport of medications and supplies. The role requires a High School degree, BLS for Healthcare Providers, and CPR certification, along with strong communication skills.

Up to 1 year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Degree
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (Basic Life Support)
• Strong verbal communication & writing skills
• Knowledge of computers and phones
• Ability to pass a CPR course
• Ability to effectively use a two way radio
• Up to 1 year experience in a related field

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from nursing units, procedure areas, testing areas, therapy, and laboratory areas.
• Assist patients arriving and departing from the hospital with items such as specimens, supplies, medication.
• Assist in moving patients to/from beds or equipment as needed.
• Maintain safety, time management, and service standards in patient transport.
• Handle and transport equipment and supplies per departmental policy, following infection control guidelines.
