Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking a Transporter to move patients to and from scheduled treatment areas using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and assistive devices. You will follow safety policies and patient-identification procedures while maintaining confidentiality and high reliability in daily duties.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient transfers, ensuring equipment safety, and supporting nursing staff with mobility, positioning, and transport logistics in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR proficiency is required.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality are mandatory.
• Ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility as part of transport duties.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from treatment areas via wheelchair, bed, or stretcher.
• Assist with patient positioning, lifting, turning, and transferring with staff assistance.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment and oxygen tanks per protocol.
• Follow department guidelines and safety policies to ensure High Reliability.
• Respond to scheduling and dispatch instructions in a timely manner.
