AdventHealth is hiring a Transporter to support patient movement and equipment transport in a fast-paced hospital environment in Florida. The role emphasizes safety, effective communication, and teamwork with clinical staff.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of public contact in a medical setting is preferred. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; a valid driver’s license is preferred. Benefits start from day one.

• People Skills: Understand customers’ needs and respond pro-actively and courteously.
• Communication Skills: Clear English communication with patients and families.
• Technical Skills: Operate stretchers, beds and wheelchairs; read and follow instructions.

Responsabilités

• Move unused equipment to storage to keep hallways clear.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Handle and deliver medical equipment and supplies properly.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Assist in safe transfers of patients from bed to stretcher or wheelchair.
• Facilitate safe movement of patients using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and cribs.
• Transport patient-related items such as belongings, paperwork, labs, and equipment.
• Record transport details accurately in the Transportation system.
