Job summary

HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL, is seeking a Transporter who safely retrieves and transports patients to and from various points across the organization, and assists with monitoring and moving essential medical supplies such as oxygen, IV pumps and wheelchairs.

This full-time day-shift role supports the Prairie/Cath/Surgery Perfusion department, with a benefits package that includes health coverage, PTO, retirement contributions and education assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• The Transporter safely retrieves and transports patients to and from various points across the organization.
• Assists with monitoring and transport of essential medical supplies such as oxygen, IV pumps, and wheelchairs.
