Responsibilities

• Escorts/transports patients and visitors safely, professionally, courteously and in a timely manner throughout the hospital.
• Obtains ticket to ride and medical record, verifies patient identity and uses infection control techniques.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness and safety, inspects gear, and reports defects.
• Uses transport software to track milestones and coordinates with care teams to minimize delays.
• Displays a professional, courteous demeanor and adheres to policies; participates in staff meetings and training.
