University Health is hiring a Patient Transporter for UH Lakewood Medical Center. The position focuses on moving patients and visitors for admissions, transfers, procedures, discharge or other service needs.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, walking during duties, and greeting patients and visitors. Candidates must complete a recognized BLS course and maintain certification, with good verbal communication and the ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Qualifications

• Must complete recognized BLS course and maintain certification.
• Good verbal communication skills to interact with patients, families, doctors, and clinical staff.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to walk to perform basic transportation duties.

Responsabilités

• Move all patients and visitors for admissions, transfers, procedures, discharge or other service needs.
• Perform activities related to transportation of patients, specimens and equipment.
• Greet and assist patients and visitors as directed.
• Carry out transport needs as assigned.
• Utilize emergency skills as required.
