Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a PRN Patient Transport teammate to provide prompt, courteous transportation for patients and visitors across the hospital. You will collaborate with IP, ED and ancillary services to ensure safety and comfort during transport.

CPR certification is required, and prior healthcare experience is preferred. The role supports patient flow for procedures and discharge transport, with responsibilities including equipment maintenance and adherence to policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients throughout the hospital to various locations for medical procedures.
• Transports patients via wheelchair to private transportation after discharge.
• Monitors the scheduling system for transport requests and completes them promptly.
• Ensures patients are safe and comfortable during transport.
• Maintains equipment through regular safety inspections, cleaning and storage.
