Advocate Health in Charlotte is seeking a Full-time Guest Relations professional to assist guests with directions, locations, and hospital services. Responsibilities include supervising waiting areas, handling inquiries, training for service excellence, and performing notary duties for healthcare documents as required by state laws.

Responsibilities

• Provides guests with assistance throughout the facility: directions, patient locations, location of hospital amenities.
• Communicates in a courteous and effective manner; ensures information is clear and understood; listens to complaints calmly and positively.
• Takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service; responds promptly to patient, family and staff requests; assists in identifying needs and securing referrals, solutions and services.
• Supervises waiting rooms; maintains knowledge of family member locations and facilitates communication between family and healthcare professionals.
• Responds to emergencies, crisis and disaster situations as directed.
• Maintains training related to Service Excellence and Performance Improvement Initiatives.
• Collects data and documentation that assists in identifying areas for improved customer service; assists leaders with recommendations to change policies and procedures.
• Accurately records and submits documentation/statistical reports for services provided to patients and families; coordinates transportation vouchers and other support.
• Assists leaders with ongoing evaluation of the Guest Relations Program and quality management guidelines.
• Maintains communication with the Guest Relations Manager and requests additional resources as needed.
• Performs notarizations for Healthcare Power of Attorney, Living Wills and other healthcare documents per state Notary laws.
