Job summary

Peak Behavioral Health is seeking a Driver to coordinate and safely transport patients to facility programming, admissions, appointments, and special events at our Las Cruces area site. The role involves monitoring patient behaviors, handling medical emergencies as needed, and providing a calm, professional presence within the multidisciplinary team.

You will ensure seatbelts, complete transportation documentation, and maintain vehicle logs while keeping vehicles clean and safe.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• One or more years’ relevant work experience in behavioral facility preferred.
• Valid state driver's license and CPR/de-escalation and restraint certification may be required

Responsibilities

• Drives company vehicles to transport patients for admissions, appointments, activity trips, discharges, and other special events in a punctual and timely manner.
• Picks up or transports visitors or staff as needed.
• Assures that all passengers are wearing seatbelts before the vehicle is started.
• Maintains a constant awareness and supervision of patients while transporting them.
