Job summary

Genesiscareers is seeking a Driver to safely transport patients, families and staff to appointments and activities at the nursing center. You will maintain logs, monitor fuel, and assist passengers during boarding and disembarking.

Ideal candidates have a current driver’s license with an excellent driving record and a high school diploma or equivalent. This on-site role offers benefits and a pathway for growth within our long-term care team.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate the nursing center vehicle in a safe manner when transporting patients, families and employees insuring that all passengers follow safety procedures.
• Assist patients, their families and employees when boarding and disembarking the vehicle.
• Maintain route and mileage logs.
• Monitor and replenish vehicles fuel and other fluids.
• Report any vehicle problems or maintenance needs to the Nursing Home Administrator.
• Interact in a positive manner with patients and families.
