Mass General Brigham’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an attentive Chair Car Driver to provide safe, non-emergency transportation for patients between hospitals, clinics, and home. Based in Cambridge, you’ll work a 36-hour week with three 12-hour day shifts, interact with patients and staff, and help ensure a positive patient experience.

This role emphasizes safety, independence, and reliable service within a collaborative healthcare team, with no direct patient care

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of patient transportation experience preferred.
• Dependable, safety-focused with strong judgment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Professional and courteous interactions with patients, families, staff, and the public.

Mansioni

• Provide safe, non-emergency transportation to and from hospitals, clinics, nursing facilities, private homes, and other locations.
• Ensure each passenger has a safe, respectful, and positive transportation experience.
• Operate vehicles with caution following safety policies.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and ready at start of shift and after trips.
• Perform daily inspections of the base or station and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Interact professionally with patients, families, staff, and community members.
