Job summary

Benefis Health System in Montana seeks staff to assist with ambulation, transfers, and lift needs for patients, and to transport patient care items per dispatch. You will communicate with patients, families and the healthcare team, and document care per policies.

A current Nursing Assistant, EMT-Basic, or Surgical Tech certification in Montana is required, with CNA/EMT experience preferred. BLS is preferred, and a driver's license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant, EMT- Basic, or Surgical Tech Certification in Montana required.
• Prior CNA/ EMT experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification by American Heart Association preferred (able to acquire upon hiring).
• Current/Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ambulation, transfer/transport, and lift needs for the patient.
• Available via dispatch to transport patient care items and equipment.
• Communicates in a timely manner with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Documents care according to hospital policy/procedure.
• Handles pressure and changing situations with professionalism.
• Interacts with a variety of people and maintains composure under stress.
