Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking staff to provide safe, efficient transport of patients and equipment within the hospital. The role includes assisting in the training of new hires, coordinating with departments to determine transport needs, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during movements.

You will perform data entry via the Tele-Tracking System, adhere to body mechanics for lifting, and comply with PHI handling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe efficient transport of patients, equipment, and miscellaneous supplies.
• Performs transport duties as needed and assist in training new hires.
• Communicates with other departments to assess their transport needs.
• Interacts with patients and customers to ensure their needs are met.
• Must be oriented to physical layout of the hospital and locations of patient testing areas.
• Performs data entry and receives dispatch information via Tele-Tracking System.
• Uses proper body mechanics for lifting and/or moving patients.
• Understands and uses the Patient Identification and Alert Process.
• Must pass fit testing for N95 mask.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• Follows department documentation and UH PHI handling policies.
