Job summary

NeighborHealth (formerly East Boston Neighborhood Health Center) is seeking a Direct Service Worker to provide transportation services for Elder Service Plan participants in East Boston. The role requires movement and assistance of participants, some heavy lifting, and a valid MA driver's license with a clean driving record. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Pay starts at $21/hour. Candidates must pass a Department of Transportation medical examination prior to hire.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma or GED.
• MA driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to move and assist participants, including van driving experience.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation services to Elder Service Plan participants.
• Assist participants with getting in and out of vehicles and with mobility needs.
• Maintain safety and timely schedules.
• Adhere to Department of Transportation medical requirements.
