Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a Patient Support Technician for the Orthopedics Unit at Trinity Health Oakland Campus. This full-time role offers a 12-hour day shift (7:00 am–7:00 pm) with comprehensive benefits from day one.

You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing bedside care, ADLs, and basic nursing procedures while supporting patient flow and care team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months direct patient care experience preferred (within past 5 years).
• Completion of a Patient Care Technician program with externship in an acute care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic bedside care and selected procedures under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, including venipuncture, 12-lead EKG, glucose collection and monitoring, respiratory care, dressing changes, vital signs, and reporting life threats.
• Performs Activities of Daily Living (ADL) appropriate to the patient's condition under RN supervision.
• Performs basic nutritional support such as bed setup, assistance with feeding, and documenting intake and calories; may perform other duties as assigned to support patient care.
