The Patient Support Specialist is responsible for supporting patient services and operations for USC Brain Health. This position is under indirect supervision and works closely with medical providers and Brain Health staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Coordinates all scheduling and referral processes for Brain Health Network patients and providers, including, but not limited to, scheduling patient appointments, conducting patient reminder calls, authorizing services, handling medical records, following up with patients and providers, and creating/maintaining schedule templates.

Assists with data input and data management functions related to patient care and research activities for the Brain Health Network. Ensures data is entered within 24 hours of rendered services and provides reports to providers within 24 hours of receipt of completed reports/summaries.

Serves as primary point of contact for Brain Health Network patient operations. Responds within 24 hours to all phone and email messages and helps ensures timely and continuous communication between Brain Health team members and across all Brain Health Network sites.
