This role reports directly to Janet Maendel, Clinical Director of Integrative Oncology, and involves close communication with patients, administrative coordination, and clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Support and Symptom Tracking

• Meet with assigned patients virtually to monitor symptoms, medications, and treatment tolerance
• Track changes between labs and treatment cycles and report emerging concerns
• Provide clear, compassionate support to help patients implement their nutrition, supplement, detox, and symptom tracking plans
• Maintain accurate, organized documentation of patient-reported outcomes
• Serve as a reliable, structured, and empathetic point of continuity in patient care
• Escalate clinical issues promptly to the Clinical Director

Clinical and Administrative Coordination

• Organize and manage labs, imaging, and reports across platforms (Google Drive, Practice Better, EMRs)
• Maintain detailed case summaries, spreadsheets, dosing schedules, and update sheets
• Support communication with external providers (when authorized)
• Ensure follow-through on treatment timelines, supplement plans, and care protocols
• Attend and contribute to team meetings with structured case updates

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Background in nursing, integrative health, clinical administration, or patient navigation
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail
• Proficiency in digital tools and systems (EMRs, spreadsheets, cloud-based platforms)
• Experience supporting patients with chronic or complex medical conditions
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and respond in real-time when needed
• Alignment with North American time zones for patient care coverage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in functional or integrative oncology
• Familiarity with immunotherapy or terrain-based care approaches
• Alumni of the Terrain Advocate Program (TAP) or taking (AIM) Program - encouraged to apply
• Comfortable managing multiple complex cases in a virtual setting

Position Details
