Job summary

Christus Santa Rosa Children's Hospital is seeking patient sitters to provide vigilant observation and compassionate support in a fast-paced hospital environment. Positions are available as full-time and part-time roles with flexible day, evening, and night shifts. A BLS certification, background check, and proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant observation of the assigned patient throughout the shift.
• Work as a team with nursing, medical staff, and other hospital departments to achieve excellent patient satisfaction.
• Alert a healthcare provider if the patient engages in activities that could result in injury.
• Clean and disinfect patient transport equipment to ensure patient safety.
• Transport specimens from departments to the lab.
• Complete continuous observation records for every patient.
• Provide support to nursing as needed to help reposition or transfer the patient.
• Assist the patient to the restroom or with eating a meal, as requested.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
