Job summary

Highland Palms Healthcare Center in the United States is seeking a compassionate Patient Sitter for part-time, on-call shifts. The role focuses on resident safety, observation, companionship, and support in a non-clinical setting.

You will work with nursing staff to help prevent falls, maintain a calm environment, and provide dignity-based care. Prior healthcare or customer service experience is welcome, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation and supervision for assigned residents
• Promote a safe and secure environment by monitoring resident activity and reporting concerns promptly
• Offer companionship, reassurance, and emotional support
• Assist residents with non-clinical needs while maintaining dignity and respect
• Communicate resident concerns, changes in behavior, or safety issues to nursing staff immediately
• Help prevent falls and maintain resident safety at all times
• Maintain accurate documentation as required
• Support nursing and interdisciplinary teams in delivering exceptional resident care
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards

This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about helping others and providing comfort, companionship, and support to residents in a healthcare setting.

As a Patient Sitter, you play an important role in ensuring resident safety, providing observation and emotional support, and helping create a calm, positive environment for those in our care. Your presence can make all the difference in a resident's day.
