Job summary

Alomere Health in Minnesota is seeking a Patient Sitter to provide close and continuous observation for patients at risk of falls or harm. The role supports nursing staff by monitoring patients, communicating changes, and ensuring safety.

Responsibilities

• Monday thru Friday & Weekends

• 7:00 am -3:00 pm
• 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
• 11:00 pm-7:00 am

Position Objective:

The Patient Sitter is responsible for providing close and/or continuous observation of pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients who may be at risk for adverse events such as falls, self-injury or harm to others.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct observation of patients as directed by the nursing staff and never leaves the patient alone or out of sight unless specifically instructed by the nurse
• Report on changes in the condition of the patient to the appropriate supervisor and other staff members

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all other related duties as assigned in a professional and responsive manner
• Demonstrate the ability to use relevant equipment
