Job summary

Providence Urgent Care Midtown-Anchorage is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to be the first contact for patients, delivering exceptional service over the phone and during virtual visits. You will manage front desk tasks, patient registration, insurance billing and payment processing, and cashiering while upholding our mission of compassionate care.

This on-site role requires at least 1 year in healthcare, with some college and EMR experience preferred.

The Patient Service Specialist is the first point of contact to patients. This position plays a key role in maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service over the phone and the virtual visit platform. The PSS is responsible for front desk, patient registration, insurance billing and payment and collection/cashiering. Actively supports and incorporates the mission and core values into daily activities. Required Qualifications:

• 1 year Experience in a medical or healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Some College.
• EMR (electronic medical record) experience.
