Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a clinic, medical office, or similar healthcare setting required.
• Experience in patient services, billing, or front desk operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients in the clinic EMR, ensuring accurate and complete information for new and returning patients.
• Checks patients in and out at the front desk, collecting and posting time-of-service payments, including copays and balances.
• Verifies and updates patient demographics and insurance eligibility, ensuring cards are scanned at visits.
• Ensures informed consent and PHI forms are signed and filed.
• Schedules, confirms, and manages patient appointments; documents cancellations or rescheduling in the EMR.
• Assists with charge entry at checkout and timely completion of daily charges.
• Responds to patient inquiries with professionalism; adheres to clinic communication guidelines.
• Maintains waiting room cleanliness and addresses patient concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains reliable attendance.
