Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact, managing front-office operations and supporting clinic workflow in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

This role emphasizes customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork; offers 3-day/12-hour shifts, competitive pay, benefits, PTO, 401(k) match, and growth opportunities. Travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy environment.
• Proficient computer skills; experienced with EMR software (EPIC preferred).
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts including some weekends and holidays.
• Team player with a proactive, friendly, and patient-focused service approach.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with a welcoming attitude.
• Manage front-office documentation and confidentiality.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain payment policies.
• Determine and collect patient financial responsibility.
• Support the practice manager, providers, and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance in processes.
• Perform general administrative tasks and operate office equipment.
• Oversee quality assurance and CLIA-related requirements.
• Travel to other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations as required.
