Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly greet patients and manage front-office operations, enhancing the patient experience. You will verify insurance, communicate payment details, and support clinic workflows while maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and a patient-focused, team-oriented approach in a busy healthcare setting. 12-hour shifts, full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Administrative Assistant certificate is a plus.
• 1+ year experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy environment.
• Experience using EMR software, EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: Greet and assist patients and visitors.
• Manage front-office tasks and clinic workflow; ensure efficiency.
• Verify health insurance benefits and explain payment policies.
• Determine and collect patient financial responsibility.
• Support the practice manager, providers and staff as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance in all activities.
• Perform administrative duties and operate office equipment.
