Job Summary

The Patient Services Specialist – After Hours will provide excellent customer service and product information, solutions, and relevant details to patients and providers. This role emphasizes above-and-beyond communication to ensure patients feel heard, understood, valued, and connected with Apria. Key responsibilities include:

  • Transforming disgruntled patients into satisfied customers.
  • Supporting field teams, operations, and sales with timely feedback.
  • Addressing and solving common complaints, identifying trends, and recommending preventative measures.
  • Proactively enhancing the patient experience.
  • Promoting a positive employee and company culture.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Handle after-hours calls from patients and referral sources, troubleshoot equipment issues, manage urgent patient setups, and coordinate with technicians or therapists as needed.
  • Develop strong business relationships within the field leadership through collaboration and communication.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare, health insurance, dispatch, or transportation.

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate proficiency, capable of interpreting and developing spreadsheet data.
