Job summary

Naples Comprehensive Health - NCH seeks a Patient Service Representative/Scheduler to act as the first contact for patients, handle scheduling and insurance verification, and support the clinic's administrative workflow.

You will gather patient information, enter data into the EMR, collect co-pays, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow at our Naples location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School or GED required.
• Intermediate computer knowledge: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Checks schedules and organizes patient flow.
• Verifies and updates patient data and registrations.
• Obtains consents for treatment and handles insurance forms as needed.
• Processes referrals and orders into the EMR with proper templates.
• Maintains patient forms for pickup and ensures proper EMR placement.
• Schedules new and follow-up appointments and radiological tests.
• Notifies clinicians of scheduled or urgent patients and confirms appointments.
• Provides preliminary clinical instructions to patients before visits or tests.
• Collects insurance co-pays and deductibles at time of service.
• Monitors waiting times and communicates delays to patients/families.
• Verifies benefits and eligibility for all scheduled patients.
• Enters charges and payments accurately; generates reconciliation reports.
• Prepares daily close reports and deposits; coordinates with accounting.
• Communicates effectively with staff and patients, acting as liaison.
• Responds to questions about codes and charges; escalates when needed.
