Job summary

OSI Physical Therapy, part of Twin Cities Orthopedics, is seeking a Patient Services Representative for our West St. Paul location. This full-time, on-site role supports patient registration, check-in and front-desk operations, with responsibility for collecting payments and insurance information.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, be proficient with Word, Outlook and Excel, and bring strong customer service experience. Prior medical office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID
• Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices
• Accurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the current practice management system
• Communicate appointment details and directions to patients
• Chart preparation and management
• Maintain knowledge of health care plan requirements and networks
• Maintain timely communication with patients, families and staff
• Rotation of Switchboard Operator duties: accepting, handling and transferring calls, coordination of interpreters, and coordination of patient referrals
• Other duties as assigned such as cleaning, laundry, rooming patients, prepping patients for appointments

Description

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for patient registration and check in as wellas clinical support duties.

This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday, various hours between 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM out of our West St. Paul location.

OSI is a physical therapy brand within the Therapy Department of TCO, the Orthopedic Division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health)., a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions

• Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID
• Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices
• Accurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the current practice management system
• Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including: appointment information, directions, check-in times, referral information and copayments
• Chart preparation and management
• Maintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks
• Maintain timely communication with patients, families, and staff
• Rotation of Switchboard Operator duties which include: accepting, handling and transferring calls, coordination of interpreters for clinic appointments, and coordination of patient referrals
• Any and all other duties as assigned such as cleaning, laundry, rooming patients, prepping patients for appointments, etc.

Education and Experience Requirements

Working Conditions
