Job Summary

This position serves as Patient Service Representative - Registration in the Business Office service center, providing various financial and clerical support functions to ensure departmental operations, including Access Registration, Scheduling, posting financial transactions (debits, credits, refunds), working specific work queues, and other Revenue Cycle functions.

Start date: 6/9/25

Full-time (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Central) - permanent, benefits-eligible

Fully remote

Requirements

1+ years healthcare scheduling/registration experience

Preferred: Hospital experience

Must have high-speed internet and a HIPAA-compliant home office environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Note: These duties are general and may not be exhaustive. Specific tasks may be outlined in performance objectives by leadership.

  • Account Management
  • Achieve goals related to resolutions, account review quality, and productivity standards
  • Complete patient registration accurately, obtain insurance info and authorizations
  • Schedule patients, support patients, clarify instructions, ensure correct procedure booking
  • Perform transactions and postings accurately in multiple systems following guidelines
  • Post payments, adjustments, process refunds as assigned
  • Print and send claims as assigned
  • Maintain knowledge of hospital and internal systems, accounting principles
  • Assist with queues such as Discharged Not Final Billed, Collection Review, audits, Self-Pay review
  • Perform basic auditing, assist with special projects to meet standards
  • Maintain Quality scores ≥ 91%
  • Manage work queues properly and follow work standard guidelines
  • Ensure accounts meet client standards
  • Follow applicable regulations

Other responsibilities that may be re-assigned if accommodations cannot be made.

Physical Demands

Reasonable accommodations may be provided. Regular use of computer, manual dexterity, ability to sit for prolonged periods, lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, and managing stress during busy periods are required.
