Position Summary:
Sovah Health is looking for a someone to m anage the daily operations of the assigned facility or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
· Manages all human resource issues by recruiting, hiring, and training a highly effective team; assures orientation of new members.
· Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
· Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
· Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
· Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
· Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
· Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
· Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree required (4 years of office practice experience in lieu of degree)
Graduate of a program in Nursing preferred
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Licenses:
Current Nursing License in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact State If applicable
Must have valid driver’s license required
Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in health care organization preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a physician’s office required
Prior experience working with medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, CPT-4 coding preferred
