Position: Patient Services Manager II

Pay Grade: 12

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000

Job Overview: Responsible for supervising Patient Food Services under the direction of the Director. This includes planning, supervising food assembly and service, scheduling, hiring, training, and evaluating staff to ensure patient satisfaction and efficient resource use.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Patient Food Services Staff

Essential Functions:

  • Establish and oversee goals for patient food services based on medical guidance and patient needs.
  • Hire, lead, train, and develop team members.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hazard, emergency, and fire safety policies.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families.
  • Attend departmental meetings and professional development programs.
  • Provide high-level customer service and perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree (A.S.) preferred, with one year of supervisory experience. Dietary Manager Certification required if no degree in nutrition or dietetics. B.S. in Nutrition or Hospitality Management preferred for larger facilities.

Skills:

  • Ability to interpret documents, write reports, and communicate effectively.
  • Mathematical skills including proportions and basic algebra.
  • Proficiency with hospital computer systems managing patient records.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions.
