Morrison Healthcare in Syracuse, NY, seeks a Patient Services Manager to lead the hospital’s Patient Dining Services, overseeing about 18 Dining Associates, Floor Stock Attendants and Dish Room staff on a 200-bed facility. Hands-on leadership, focus on patient experience and safety.

The role requires healthcare food service background, regulatory compliance, and knowledge of therapeutic diets and diet order systems; strong communication and team development are essential.

Formación

• Associate degree with at least one year of food service experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory or management experience in healthcare food service, preferably within an acute care environment.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR), or Registered Dietitian (RD) credentials are preferred.
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Working knowledge of therapeutic diets, diet office systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and patient meal ordering systems preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and healthcare technology systems.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and oversee daily patient dining operations to ensure exceptional service, quality, and safety standards.
• Establish departmental goals and implement patient food service programs that meet the nutritional needs of the hospital's patient population.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop frontline team members while fostering a positive and engaged work environment.
• Ensure compliance with physician-ordered diets and therapeutic nutrition requirements, maintaining accuracy and patient safety.
• Monitor and drive patient satisfaction initiatives, addressing service opportunities and implementing continuous improvement strategies.
• Supervise floor stock, tray line, meal delivery, and dish room operations to ensure efficient workflow and service excellence.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations, including HIPAA, patient rights, and food safety standards.
• Lead and participate in departmental meetings, quality assurance initiatives, performance improvement programs, and hospital-wide projects.
• Provide visible leadership on the floor, supporting staff and operations as needed throughout the shift.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Services Manager to lead our Patient Dining Services team at a 200-bed acute care hospital. This role is responsible for overseeing daily patient meal service operations, including a team of approximately 18 Dining Associates, Floor Stock Attendants, and Dish Room staff. As a smaller facility, the manager may oversee all Food & Nutrition team members during assigned shifts and should be comfortable taking a hands‑on leadership approach.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare food service, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of therapeutic diets and diet order systems is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
