Patient Services Lead (Full Time)

- Schedule: Full time with 12‑hour shifts; days and hours vary with a rotating two‑week schedule and alternating weekends.
- Requirements: Previous food service or customer service experience required. Healthcare and management experience is preferred.
- Pay Range: $17.00 – $18.50 per hour.
Job Summary
Patient Services Leads coordinate patient meal service and manage special requests and needs for the Patient Dining Program. They oversee training of Patient Dining Associates, ensure proper staffing of units, and collaborate with caregivers, dietitians, and culinary teams to deliver high quality service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee systems and processes to achieve the strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program.
- Supervise Patient Dining Associates to provide services such as menu selection assistance, meal assembly, and tray delivery/pick‑up.
- Collaborate with caregivers and culinary staff to determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
- Interact with nursing staff and evaluate daily meal selection, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval processes.
- Respond to patients’ needs promptly and communicate issues to appropriate personnel following department procedures.
- Assist dietitians with monitoring patients who cannot eat orally, have liquid diets, or require specific calorie counts.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO guidelines.
- Follow HACCP guidelines and other food safety systems for meal assembly and distribution.
- Adhere to all federal, state, local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Complete all required daily, weekly, or monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
- Conduct daily associate team meetings using Morrison’s GR8 Start Meeting guidelines and template.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and communicate safety rules, procedural manuals, and operational instructions.
- Aptitude for operating the hospital’s ADT system and other computer‑based patient care record systems.
- The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts. Reasonable accommodations available.
