Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is seeking a full-time Patient Services Lead at Baptist Huntingdon, TN. You will coordinate patient meal service and supervise dining associates to ensure compassionate, accurate service in a healthcare setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of kitchen and lead experience, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and a ServSafe or Food Handler certification. Pay range is $16.00–$18.00 per hour with strong benefits.

  • Ensure timely communication of patient concerns following procedures.

Job description

We are hiring immediately for full‑time PATIENT SERVICES LEAD positions.

Location: Baptist Huntingdon – 631 R.B. Wilson Drive, Huntingdon, TN 38344. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time; open availability preferred. 5:00 am to 6:30 pm, days may vary; weekends and holidays required. More details upon interview.

Requirement: 1 year of kitchen and lead experience required. A valid ServSafe certification or Food Handler's card preferred.

Pay Range: $16.00 per hour to $18.00 per hour.

Patient Services Leads coordinate patient meal service and special requests for the Patient Dining Program, ensuring that Patient Dining Associates are adequately trained and units are properly staffed to provide service. They play a key role in creating a culture of comfort and compassion in the healthcare environment by attending to patients’ special requests and nutritional needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee systems and processes to ensure that the strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program service are accomplished.
  • Supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure they provide services that include helping patients make menu selections, assemble, and deliver/pick‑up their meal trays.
  • Work with caregivers and the culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences, or when patients inquire about additional selections.
  • Interact with nursing and evaluate on a daily basis patient meal selection, tray completion, tray delivery and tray retrieval processes.
  • Remain responsive to patients’ needs at all times, communicating problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner following department procedures.
  • Assist dietitians, e.g., help monitor patients who cannot eat food through their mouth, are on liquid diets, or must adhere to a specific calorie count.
  • Adhere to the facility confidentiality obligations and the patient’s rights policy as outlined in the facility’s HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
  • Follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines, employing a prevention‑based food‑safety system for meal assembly and distribution.
  • Meet mandatory health and sanitation regulations at the federal, state, and local levels, along with department sanitation procedures.
  • Complete mandatory reports—daily, weekly, or monthly—as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily associate team meetings following Morrison’s branded “GR8 Start Meeting” guidelines and template.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must communicate and read documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and operation and maintenance instructions.
  • Must be able to operate the hospital’s admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) system and other computer‑based systems that manage patient care records.
  • The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food‑delivery carts. Reasonable accommodations can enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
