Job summary

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service and provides nourishments and snacks as ordered.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Communicates patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures nutrition diet orders are provided via appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards and completes assigned cleaning tasks.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Assists the clinical staff to meet patients' basic nutrition care needs.
