Job summary

Aramark in McKinney, TX is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support hospital and long-term care nutrition services. You will interpret diet orders, liaise with patients and Nursing Services, and ensure timely meal delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended standing or walking.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service
• Delivers nourishments and snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department
• Obtain food preferences/dislikes from patients and/or family members
• Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department
• Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections
• Maintains sanitation standards by following assigned cleaning schedules
• Inventories and re-stocks pantries, refrigerator, and freezers
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance from Supervisor or Dietitian if an error is observed
• Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patients' basic nutrition care needs are met
