Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• 2+ years of medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy standards.
• Experience with front-desk duties and appointment scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient check-in/check-out and verify demographics and insurance.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments and provider calendars.
• Collect co-pays and balances; maintain payment records.
• Answer phones and assist patient inquiries professionally.
• Manage eFax inbox; route referrals and documents as needed.
• Scan/maintain records in the EMR system.
• Coordinate patient flow and notify staff of arrivals/delays.
• Arrange follow-ups and support continuity of care.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with authorizations.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper documentation.
