The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Pediatrics - Child & Adolescent Center in Houston seeks a Patient Services Coordinator to coordinate appointments and clinic flow, acting as the main contact for patients, families, physicians, and staff.
Onsite Monday–Friday 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., you will support cross‑disciplinary pediatric care and learn the operations of a leading cancer center while delivering outstanding service to patients and families.
Join MD Anderson's Pediatrics - Child & Adolescent Center as a Patient Services Coordinator and play a central role in coordinating the patient experience for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. You'll help keep a complex ambulatory clinic running smoothly by coordinating appointments, supporting clinic flow, and serving as a key point of contact for patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team at one of the world's leading cancer centers.
What's in it for you? This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of a busy, multidisciplinary pediatric clinic, coordinating care across multiple subspecialties, the Pediatric Ambulatory Treatment Center (PATC), and Pediatrics Laboratory. You'll interpret physician orders, coordinate diagnostic tests and appointments, maintain physician schedules and templates, and help ensure patients receive clear information about their care and appointment requirements.
You'll also serve as an important customer service resource, managing phone calls routed to the Child & Adolescent Center for more than 24 physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinic staff. Your ability to communicate clearly, prioritize competing demands, and remain calm under pressure will help keep clinic operations efficient while creating a positive experience for patients and families. You'll also gain valuable exposure to the coordination and operations of a highly specialized pediatric cancer center.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of recent work experience, along with strong customer service and organizational skills. You must be comfortable working with children and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment. The position is onsite Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
At MD Anderson, you'll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, an annual merit increase program, annual incentive opportunities, an employer-funded pension contribution, medical/dental/vision coverage, generous paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
If you're an organized, customer-focused professional who enjoys working with children, coordinating complex schedules, and keeping a busy clinical environment moving, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the patient experience at MD Anderson.
