Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia’s UVA Community Health in Culpeper is seeking a Patient Services Coord IV to support referrals and perform Dimensions super-user functions in EPIC.

This full-time days role (8a-5p) requires bilingual abilities and strong organizational and communication skills to work with diverse patients and teams. The position offers a base compensation range of $16.50–$23.39 hourly, with compensation determined by qualifications and experience.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for processing referrals and/or performing Dimensions super-user functions such as practice support with EPIC or working the miscellaneous work queues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

3 years of experience in medical office setting required. Other related experience may be considered in lieu of medical office experience. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.

Additional Skills/Requirements Required:

Knowledge of medical office software for the following: updating patient demographic information, posting charges, copays, and scheduling patient appointments. Requires understanding of CPT and ICD9- CM coding processes. Requires excellent verbal communication skills. Must be able to work with changing priorities. Requires excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Must be able to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority. Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to function as part of a team. Must possess initiative. Basic medical terminology required, knowledge can be obtained through formal classes or work experience. Detailed knowledge of multiple payors billing requirements. Familiarity of coding requirements for practice specialty.

Proficient in the use of all computer software utilized in the practice.

  The base compensation range for this role is $16.50 - $23.39 hourly.
  Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
