An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Front Medical Office Receptionist to join their team. Professionally greets and welcomes patients and their friends/family. Answers, screens, and directs all incoming calls to appropriate personnel, relaying messages between patients and clinical staff. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics, Business Standards, and US Oncology's Shared Values.
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 18 months of front medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software required. Knowledge of the practice's personnel, routines, and scheduling is a plus. Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required. Must successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of employment. Demonstrates adaptability, handles daily challenges confidently, and is willing to adjust to shifting priorities. Shows work commitment and emphasizes quality in performance.
Physical Demands: The employee must be able to sit, stand, talk, and hear during regular hours, with full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. May need to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally. Corrected vision and hearing are required.
Work Environment: Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions typical of an oncology/hematology clinic. Involves in-person interaction with co-workers and clients. May require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
