Job summary

United Vein & Vascular Centers is seeking a Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Coordinator) to welcome patients, sign them in, collect insurance information, provide forms, process payments, and schedule appointments.

You will maintain hard copy and EMR records, audit schedules for eligibility, and offer guidance to patients while upholding UVVC's core values and HIPAA privacy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in medical assisting or administrative roles.
• Familiarity with ECW is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in, and obtain insurance information.
• Provide intake and new patient forms, and copies of office policies and required documents.
• Process payments for co-pays and uninsured visits.
• Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients.
• Maintain hard copy records and EMR files.
• Audit schedules to ensure patient insurance eligibility.
• Provide patient support and guidance as needed.

About the Role:

The Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Coordinator) is responsible for greeting patients upon arrival, signing them in for their appointment, obtaining insurance information, providing forms, processing payments, and scheduling appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
• Provide patients with intake and new patient forms, as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
• Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
• Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provided schedule guidelines.
• Maintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EMR system.
• Audit schedule to ensure patient insurance eligibility.
• Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
