Job summary

CORA Physical Therapy is hiring a Patient Services Coordinator to support clinic operations at multi-site outpatient settings. You will greet patients, verify insurances, collect co-pays, and manage referrals while delivering excellent service and a welcoming experience.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma, customer service experience, and proficiency with Word/Excel. Fluency in Spanish is a plus in a fast-paced healthcare team environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Recent customer service experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Reliable, honest, and adaptable in fast-paced team environments.
  • Preferred: Healthcare office experience, familiarity with basic medical terminology, and fluency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and build rapport through in-person and phone interactions.
  • Screen and answer incoming calls promptly; take messages, and relay information as needed.
  • Verify outpatient therapy insurance benefits (where applicable) and advise patients of financial responsibilities such as co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance.
  • Manage incoming physician referrals and prescriptions; communicate first visit expectations to new patients.
  • Scan insurance cards, ID cards, and relevant paperwork into patient files.
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles, provide receipts, balance daily collections, and submit charges to the Clinic Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment; sanitize spaces according to CDC guidelines.
