Job Details

The Bridge Program provides person-centered care for people with substance use disorder.

The Patient Services Associate (PSA) I enhances the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities associated with visits to the practice/department. Primarily working at the front desk of an outpatient practice, the PSA I verifies insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information. The PSA I supports the delivery of the Jefferson Experience by emphasizing prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors to maintain an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Process check-in and check-out, point of service activities, and scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
  2. Greet and interact with patients/visitors professionally, in person or on the phone.
  3. Maintain efficient practice flow and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  4. Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
